Website visits and enquiries
When you visit this website, technically necessary connection data are processed, including your IP address, time of access, requested address, transferred data, browser and operating system information. This supports delivery and security of the website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure operation of our website.
When you contact us, we process your details, including your name, contact details and message, to respond. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to enquiries concerning potential or existing instructions; Article 6(1)(f) GDPR applies to other enquiries based on our interest in responding. Required contact form fields are marked.
Enquiries are retained as long as necessary to respond and, where relevant, carry out instructions. Statutory retention duties or the establishment or defence of claims may require longer retention.
Recipients and local content
Technical service providers may process data as necessary for hosting and communications. Disclosure is limited to these purposes or legal obligations. Fonts, our own images and site search are served locally from our website. External videos and reviews are described below.
Cookies, Privacy Preferences, and External Content
Storage of Your Privacy Preferences
We use the open-source software Klaro, hosted on our web server, to manage your preferences regarding external content. Loading this software does not establish a connection to a server operated by the Klaro provider. Your preferences are stored in the mg-consent-v1 cookie in your browser for 180 days. The cookie contains the consent settings for the individual services and does not contain any individual user identifier. You can change your preferences at any time via the privacy settings at the bottom of the page or the “Open Privacy Settings” button on this page.
The purpose of storing your preferences is to honor your decision and avoid having to ask you again every time you visit the page. This is done in accordance with Section 25(2)(2) of the TDDDG; to the extent that personal data is processed, such processing serves our legitimate interest in reliable consent management pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
YouTube Videos
After you give your consent, we embed video players from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland) via youtube-nocookie.com. In particular, your IP address and technical browser information are transmitted to Google. Processing in the United States is possible. Depending on your usage, information may be stored on or retrieved from your device. The legal bases are your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and, where applicable, Section 25(1) of the TDDDG. The players are loaded only after you give your consent; you start playback yourself. For more information on processing and retention periods, please see Google’s privacy policy.
ProvenExpert Reviews
After you give your consent, we load reviews and review seals from ProvenExpert, a service provided by Expert Systems AG, Quedlinburger Straße 1, 10589 Berlin. In particular, your IP address and technical browser information are transmitted to the provider. Information on further processing, any storage on your device, and retention periods can be found in ProvenExpert’s privacy policy. The legal basis for this integration is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and, where applicable, § 25(1) of the TDDDG.
Modification and Withdrawal
You can grant consent for YouTube and ProvenExpert individually and revoke it at any time with future effect. After revocation, the relevant content will no longer be loaded. Data already processed by the third- party provider will not be retroactively deleted as a result. You can also manage cookies and other storage mechanisms used by the third-party provider via your browser. Video files hosted on our server and locally displayed rating graphics do not require this consent.
Data Subject Rights
You have the right:
- pursuant to Article 15 of the GDPR, to request information about your personal data that we process. In particular, you may request information regarding the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data and recipients, the planned retention period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, or objection, a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data, and automated decision-making, including profiling;
- pursuant to Article 16 of the GDPR, to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate personal data or the completion of your personal data stored by us;
- pursuant to Article 17 of the GDPR, to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, to comply with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims;
- pursuant to Article 18 of the GDPR, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, provided that you contest the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful but you oppose its erasure, we no longer need the data but you require it to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims, or you have objected to the processing pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR;
- pursuant to Article 20 of the GDPR, to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, or to request that it be transmitted to another controller;
- pursuant to Article 7(3) of the GDPR, to withdraw your consent at any time. As a result, we may no longer continue processing the data based on that consent in the future; and
- pursuant to Article 77 of the GDPR, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a general rule, you may contact the supervisory authority at your usual place of residence, place of work, or the location of our law firm’s headquarters.
Right to Object
If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1), first sentence, letter f of the GDPR, you have the right, pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR, to object to the processing of your personal data, provided there are grounds for doing so arising from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will honor without requiring you to specify a particular situation.
If you wish to exercise your right of revocation or objection, simply send an email to info@marten- graner.de .
